Five Opportunities to a Better Life

Tiredness, exhaustion and frustration are an all too common sight today. Are you living your life to the fullest? Do you see the full potential God has planned for you? How do you get a fresh look on life? I will share five simple steps that will enable you to live a more fulfilling life.

For more than thirty years I was not able to see without corrective contacts or a pair of glasses. Recently I received laser eye surgery. After the procedure, while struck in awe I said, “I CAN SEE!” My eyesight is sharp, clear, and it is 20/20. Not only do I now not see through a cloud, but the biggest eye opener is my outlook on life. I do not want to focus on what I do not have or what is wrong in my life, but for the incredible opportunity to make a difference!

Five Opportunities to a Better Life

1. Pray At All Times
Prayer refreshes, prayer builds, prayer relieves, and prayer trusts in God almighty. Start your day with prayer.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 4:6

2. Write Down Your Mission
Write down your heart’s desire for your life on paper. For more on how to make a blueprint on your life, contact me and we will be glad to help you. Contact me at:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”  -Matthew 28:19 ESV

3. See Each Moment As An Opportunity
While walking on the street a man said to me: “Enjoy this moment!” It stopped me instantly in my thoughts, realizing that each moment is an opportunity to make the most of each situation in life.

“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18.

4. Go And Make A Difference
Concentrate on what you can do instead of what you cannot and then do it!

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” –Mark 12:30-31

5. Trust God
Turn to God first and everything else will fall in place.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”  –Proverbs 3: 5-6

It is amazing what happens when you open your eyes and all is clear. When I was able to see clearly, questions came to my mind. Why did I spend so much money for so many years on contacts, eye appointments and glasses?  Why did I spend so much time and effort trying to control my life without seeking the One who knows me best? When you see your life through the eyes of God, it opens opportunities, promise and blessings. All is clear, all is obvious, and all makes sense.

“The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness.  If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”  –Luke 11: 34-36
