Living in the Past & Moving Into Forgiveness
God showed me a visual to help you understand what un-forgiveness does to you. In a dream, I saw expired milk in the refrigerator, and it had turned sour. In the dream the refrigerator opened and the bad milk was removed. Pondering on this the next morning made me think of a piece of bad fruit that was rotting; if not removed from the other fruit and thrown away, it would infect and mold all the good fruit. You have to remove the “bad fruit” to keep the “good fruit.”
It is the same for us, if we do not forgive, it will infect our mind, body, and spirit. This will make a terrible impact on our relationships and especially our relationship with GOD. GOD says to get rid of the un-forgiveness in your heart (get rid of the bad fruit) it is time to replace the bitterness and resentments with new refreshing and living thoughts. Stop Living in the Past
When you live in your painful past it starts molding everything around you. The bad starts to rot the good.
The master forgave the man his many debts, but the one forgiven his debts refused to forgive his fellow servant who owed him much less than he owed the master. Then, because the first servant did not extend forgiveness to the one who owed him, the master handed the first servant over to the jailers to be tortured.
When you choose to not forgive, you allow demons access to your thought life to torment you and prey on the un-forgiveness in your heart, thereby creating a heavy spirit, as if carrying dead weight around 24/7! You won’t be able to receive the blessings God wants to give you. The Bible states “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) The enemy of all of us wants to keep us in a “poor me” state of mind. Ask GOD to heal you from your past and give HIM access to the hurt in your heart to help you to forgive.
