Breastplate of Righteousness
Stand in Your Forgiveness
“Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness”
– Ephesians 6:14
When I committed my life to Jesus, a huge load fell off my shoulders. The freedom and joy came so sweet and pure. I was forgiven. I recall my mother noticing and saying. “How come you are so happy all the time?” I am forgiven and I am free and stand in that freedom! When I recommitted my life to Jesus, again I had an incredible joy and freedom. Again, the joy, peace and freedom felt amazing.
To put on the breastplate of righteousness is to stand in that freedom and know that you are forgiven in Christ. You are righteous = being right with God. When you know your freedom from the law of sin and dead. GOD has made you right with HIM. You stand in righteousness. Standing in your forgiveness gives you the authority.
Who do you need to forgive? Let us help by praying with you.

The sad part is that many Christians are very good at beating themselves up. Feeling guilty and upset with themselves for mistakes made. This is the typical technique that Satan uses to distract you and get you away from this freedom.
It is not God that keeps beating you over your head but it is Satan the opposing attorney that will beat you up with everything he can use against you. Jesus is on your side. Jesus is your defense attorney. Walking in righteousness is walking in that freedom knowing who you are and what your rights are.
I love the way Corrie Ten Boom, survivor of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz, put it:
“God puts your sin in the deepest ocean and puts a sign above it that says “NO FISHING!”
Believe it – Receive it – Put it on.
Righteousness does not go away even if you get it dirty. It gives you the authority to say: “Get back, Satan!” Because GOD is in you, you are in GOD. Standing in the middle of I AM helps you to understand in how to put on righteousness.
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
– Corinthians 5:21
“But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:8
Life Changing Tip
Close your eyes, and imagine that you are standing in the middle of a circle. In front of you, you see God the Father smiling at you. On the right of you it is Jesus smiling at you and on the left it is Holy Spirit smiling at you. When you accept Jesus in your heart, your sins are forgiven. You are now standing in your salvation in the midst of the circle of the trinity. It is no longer now about you, but about them. When you put on the breastplate of Righteousness you stand in their power, their freedom and it removes the power of the devil he tries to keep over you
When you drive in your car you put on your seatbelt. This is the law and also to protect yourself. This is a precaution and safety measure. To put on the breastplate of righteousness is a safety measure. You can call it a bullet proof vest. It protects all the vital organs. One of these organs is the heart. Whatever is in the heart is what comes out of the mouth. Whatever is in the heart comes out of the mouth and what is fed by what we hold onto and believe is the center combination of soul and spirit.
You have to let go off all the junk in your heart to be able to fight Satan at his own game. The good news is that Jesus longs for you to live in that freedom as when you accepted Him all the time and not only occasionally.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
– Matthew 6:33
