Find Hope, Love, Joy, and Faith in Christ
It’s easy to “love your life” when all is well in your world, right? Great relationships, good health, a good job, financial stability, a loving spouse, good kids… all so wonderful. But what happens when life is not so wonderful? When you bump up against pain and disappointment, fear and trials, where do you turn? Where do you find hope? What keeps you moving forward?
In a world desperate to experience peace, joy, love and real faith, no matter their life circumstance, the place to start is understanding God’s love for you. This may be a foreign concept to you. After all, if God loves you so much, why are you hurting? If God loves you so much, why can’t you “feel” it? If God loves you so much, why does He allow bad things to happen? If God loves you so much, why doesn’t He help you? These are all good questions. As simple as it might sound, the answers lie in first understanding and experiencing God’s love for yourself. It can answer every question, solve every problem and satisfy the deepest longings of your heart. Nothing takes God by surprise. He always knows ahead of time what we will face and provides a way for us to make it through. Even when things come our way that we do not understand, our life is in His hands. If we surrender our heart to Him and invite Him into our life, He lives in us, walks with us every day and faces every obstacle, every challenge, every unexpected news with us, giving us the strength we need to face whatever life brings our way.
Do you feel like giving up, lost, emotionally drained? Are things a mess…financially? Or maybe you are dealing with an issue you feel is too much to bare. There are moments in life when a word of encouragement, a prayer, or seeing “real hope” revealed to you through another ones’ life, is all that you need to get back on track. Our prayer here at LYLM is that you will find hope even in the midst of the most difficult circumstances.
“Jesus said: “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”” – John 10:10
Relationships can bring great joy to our lives, but they can also bring pain. They can become broken…even shattered…causing us to feel hurt beyond repair. Our prayer is you will find encouragement here. You will find what “Real Love” is. The Bible is full of examples of God’s love and the power it has to transform lives and relationships.
“This is my commandment that you love one another, just as I have loved you.” – John 15:12
“We want to work together with you so you will be full of joy for it is by your own faith that you stand firm.” – II Corinthians 1:24
“Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly.” – Romans 12:6
The more you get to know Jesus the more “Real Joy” you’ll have in your life. Another way to experience this joy is to know your spiritual gifts. Learning to study the Bible through our weekly mentorship program, getting to know Jesus as your Savior, and learning about your spiritual gifts will make you thrive and shine. There is nothing better in life, than serving God with the gifts He has given you.
Do you feel trapped, fearful? Do you worry about your future? Are you struggling with accepting your past? The Bible teaches us about faith, especially Chapter 11 in the book of Hebrews. Here at LYLM, you will hear examples of real faith from those who share their story with Barb on the TV show.
“After twenty-one years of ministry,” says Barb, “it is so exciting to see that God follows through each and every time. With each trial that comes, I see it as a blessing, a time for God to teach me. In my conference, Loving Your Life you will be encouraged that you are not alone. You will learn five techniques for how to be more prepared for the tough times and what it is you can say when those challenging times come.”
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” – Hebrews 11:1
